Luc's Room

This nursery looks so snug and cozy.

I now think that every child should have a tent in their room -
What a great way to let their imagination run wild!

Rikshaw Design

Mmmmm.

Maybe all baby bedding should be inspired by India...

Layered Rugs

Photobucket
Layering rugs makes for such an intriguing look, and it sure beats trying to keep a single rug straight in a kid's room.

Monster ABC's - Eleonore Thuillier

My kids are somewhat obsessed with monsters.
(The friendly, cuddly kind.)

Jennifer Maher - Custom Toy Portraits

Preserving a much-adored childhood toy through art is such a lovely idea, and artist and Mother Jennifer Maher does it well.

See more of her toy portraits here, and learn about commissioning your own original and affordable piece of art here.

I like the humor in Baby Bowling/Elephant.
Some stuffed animals really do have personality...

Pillow Bookends - pillowhappy

These lovely handmade bookends double as beanbags - what a perfect combo for a baby or child's room!

{Tuft of Grass}

See more bookends here, and other creations from pillowhappy's etsy shop here.

{A little off the subject, but these pear bookends would be a great wedding gift for the "perfect pair." Or, if you happen to have a friend who just had a little girl named Poppy (I do!), see here.}

Owl Family Mobile

This owl family would add a bit of humor to the mix when your "night owl" is keeping you up all night.

DIY Yourself Toddler Bed

Upholstered beds are a look I am fond of. Seeing that Gabrielle of Design Mom designed and built two toddler size beds for $75 has me inspired - I like the idea of creative control, especially in a kid's room where you can have a lot of fun.

Find instructions here, and more details here.

(When we bought our children's bedroom furniture we were thinking a little too long term - there was more focus on a size of bed the kids could grow into (A full and a queen) and less about what we would do if we chose to have more children and they needed to share a room. The thought of ever having to replace what we already purchased makes me cringe. If more beds are ever needed, this would be a very appreciated solution!)

Color Mobile

I like this simple mobile, and could easily see it in the nursery for baby #2. Looks like it's easy to make too!

Ariel Twin Bed

I'm still tempted to get my daughter an upholstered headboard or bed set, and the Ariel Bed by Kravet has really caught my eye...

Eleanor's Nursery

I am completely sold on white backgrounds with bright color accents.
This shelf is so classically fun.

See more here.

I'm inspired by how this mobile was altered for a baby's room.

It almost looks pink in this light -
I bet you could use metal spray to add some color if you wanted...

Butterfly Rhapsody Step Stool

I'm normally partial to sleek, modern decor, but the colors of this step stool have me whistling a different tune.  So pretty.
