New Bath Toys by Boon

Scrubble

Have you seen Boon's new bath products? The scrub set is my favorite. It makes me think of sea anemones and coral, but in a not-painful way.

These just look like fun, plus they are BpA, Phthalate, and PVC-free.

Oopsy Daisy Beautiful Baby

My daughter has no hair. Ok, I'm exaggerating, but really, she is almost three and she still has less hair than her older brother. It really doesn't bother me (it is low-maintenance!), but last night she cut a few chunks out of the top of what she did have. Considering how slow the hair growth has been, my husband and I found ourselves joking that she set herself back 2 0r 3 years.

Anyway... Even though she is lacking long luscious locks, she still gets food and all sorts of sticky things in her hair and needs to be cleaned up, even if it isn't bath time. Oopsy Daisy Beautiful Baby is an all natural hair care line and their Rinse Free Baby Shampoo has me intrigued. Just apply and lather up like regular shampoo, then towel dry and your child is once again clean and presentable. This could be a lifesaver when out for dinner with a messy eater.

Aaaah Toilet Paper Foam

I wish I could say that potty training was one of the easiest things I've ever done. The initial training part wasn't that bad - it is the occasional issue that comes up 2 years after we said goodbye to diapers that is doing me in. One frustration is wiping and making sure my little guy gets himself completely cleaned.

Dry toilet paper isn't always effective. We've tried keeping flushable wet wipes around, but wipes are for "babies" so they never get used. I was recently told about Aaah Toilet Paper Foam, a foaming cleanser that lightly moistens toilet paper, and I think we might have found a solution to our problem! One little squirt and things get clean. Sure, it is a bit unconventional, but if it helps us through the rough spots (I'm not quite sure if I want to acknowledge a pun and whether or not is intended!) I am happy to keep it around.

Try a travel size for just the cost of shipping and handling here.

The Bug Pod

Ladybugs seem to be my mind today, and the timing couldn't be better because Boon has a new bath time Bug Pod, available this month. Its predecessor, The Frog Pod, is so great for keeping the tub organized, and the ladybug is just as cute and helpful.

Shampoo Rinse Cup

I would totally use this shampoo rinse cup when I bathe my daugther. Even though the shampoo doesn't burn her eyes, she definitely does not like having water splashed in her eyes. I can't blame her... neither do I.

I've started reading the labels on non-food items and am excited to try California Baby Products, which are Phthalate-free and free of many other things I don't want on my or my kid's skin.

Buy California Baby here, or in a local Target or Whole Foods/Wild Oats.

Bath Time Toys...

Bath time is a much anticipated time in our home. My daughter loves the bath so much! She usually spends around 45 minutes just playing and splashing around. Therefore i am constantly looking for new bath toys to add to my collection {so she won't get bored of the same ole thing}. But there is ONE thing that she NEVER gets bored of... Munchkins Disco TUB LIGHTS! She can't get enough of them! These sea-shaped lights glow and blink as they float in the water…or use the suction cups to stick them on the tub wall.

{They come in packs of two at your local baby superstore or on amazon.com. [$6.99]}

Cotton Monkey

I have home videos, of me as a child, running around after bath time with just a hooded towel... now, as a mother, after bath time with a 6 month old, i wrap a hooded towel around my darling and take her to the mirror. She sees herself and laughs and laughs as i pull the hood over her eyes to play peek-a-boo. I love hooded towels, especially when they are modern AND organic! So when i came across Cotton Monkeys child loving and earth friendly products, i could not pass it up! And since i have a girl, pink automatically stands out to me...

Cotton Monkeys Sweet Jane Hooded Towel {$56.00}
is a favorite of mine...

Arbonne: NutriMinC RE9

We've highlighted Arbonne's Baby Essentials before, but this one's for all you pregnant mommies out there. Here's something for you to try to soothe that stretched out, dry, itchy tummy. I am 8 months pregnant, and living in the dry Utah winter isn't helping my skin hydration much. So, I have been using Arbonne's NutriMinC RE9 REactivating Body Serum followed by the REactivating Hydrating Body Lotion every day, and my skin feels so much better. In fact, the hint of stretch marks that I thought were beginning to appear don't seem to be there anymore (though this could just be my reluctance to accept the fact that I'm getting them!) Either way, my tummy doesn't itch nearly as badly, and the skin really feels much firmer and healthier.

For all of you non-pregnant ladies out there, I'd recommend the NutriMinC line to you too--even though I'm using it primarily for tummy relief, it's part of Arbonne's anti-aging line and will help improve your skin's hydration and elasticity.

To order Arbonne products, or if you have any questions about Arbonne, email Sarah at sarah.arbonne{at}hotmail{dot}com.
