Fingerpaint Wall Art

My friend was looking for a creative and personal way to decorate her son's "big boy" room, and I really enjoy what she came up with. First, her son went crazy and finger painted the canvases in Mom's chosen colors, then they personalized his art with hand and foot prints, attractively capturing and displaying his growth.

Work in progress!

Pick up your choice of canvas and acrylic paint at any local craft or art store and get painting! I am thinking of all the fun possibilities with a larger canvas and multiple feet and hands. . .

Thanks Brittany!

That is so cool! I've got to remember this one. Did she just use a lighter shade for the prints?

It is all one shade, the feet and hands just naturally smooshed the paint, darkening and lightening as needed. Pretty fantastic, isn't it?!?

Hello, came across this through Delicious Ambiguity and love the idea. My husband just left for a year with the military and we tried to do a stone print with our kids that did not work well, I am going to try this and ship it to him. Thank you so much for sharing.
