After purchasing The Dangerous Book for Boys I found myself wondering if there would be a version for girls. I am pleased to have purchased The Daring Book for Girls, and love all of the interesting information in it. For starters, the back of the book reads "For every girl with an independent spirit and a nose for trouble, here is the no-boys-allowed guide to adventure." The book then proceeds to share all sorts of interesting information and how-to's: Make your own quill pen, A short history of women inventors and scientists, putting together every girl's toolbox, how to be a spy, and double-dutch jump rope are a few topics. Make sure you check out the list of books that will change your life.
This book is as beautifully put together as The Dangerous Book for Boys. It would look fabulous on any bookshelf, on the off chance you leave it alone long enough for it to have a permanent spot or if you need to wait for your little girl to get a bit older. Most importantly it is filled with all sorts of interesting and informative tidbits and activities that will entertain and occupy you and your daring girls (and boys!) for many days to come.
