The Perfect Way to Preserve Children's Art

I am thrilled to know exactly what I am going to do with all my kid's artistic creations that I just can't part with: Scan each individual piece of art and compile miniature versions into one large collage to be displayed on the wall. With its large scale and unique look, the finished art compilation would look great in any area of the house, not just a kid's room.

While there are lots of ways you could put this together, I am going to start scanning and saving favorites that will eventually be loaded into Photoshop and arranged onto one new image the final size of my choosing. I'll then take this file to a local or online photo lab that can print quality large prints. I might even go all out and have this put on a gallery wrap canvas with my little artist's "signature" in the corner!

*A friend shared this image that she had saved from a year or so ago and while we don't know the source, apparently there is a company that will do this for you.

*Have an art collage custom made here. Thanks Diana!

This is the greatest idea ever! I have been wondering what to do with the piles of papers I have been saving. Thanks!

I posted about this on my blog:

I included the source, but it is thousands of dollars, so I think DIY is the way to go too.

I saw this on another blog awhile back and I think it's brilliant! And perfect for a "throw-everything-away" mama like me! Doing this would give me a way to preserve my child's artwork without cluttering up my house with paperwork.
