Hippos

I still remember being surprised when I found at that Hippos are very dangerous creatures. They always seemed so lovable to me. I think this is why I find The Hippo Board Books by Jane Yolen so appealing. Emotions, counting, and activities are written about with playful rhymes, but what makes these books stand out is the pleasure of seeing beautifully illustrated Hippos going about their activities in this visually appealing book.
