the flash bulb

This amazing sewn art piece is part of a series created by Stephanie Friedman, called "migrations." It shows birds taking flight along stitched paths - maneuvering cotton landscapes and buttoned backgrounds.

Net Birds {$25}

They can be hung from the wooden dowel they come with or you can frame them {I prefer them this way}. I think they would look really lovely hung in a trio. The three shown are definitely my favorites.

Egg Birds Two {$65}

This piece is also part of the migration series. I like how Stephanie uses bright colors and still creates an organic feeling - perfect for any nursery wall. Her work is just so cheery and simple. Be sure to check out her other pieces - they are so cool and you are sure to find one {or two or three!} that you love too!
