*** The Gifted Grasshopper Giveaway***

As a former teacher, I love books! I love reading to my children and adding new books to our collection, but I don't always love taking my children to the the bookstore. I must admit that our bookstore trips haven't quite hit that obedience level of having my children quietly find a book and sitg down to read. It is a little difficult to find those really awesome picture books while my girls are running through the shelves and climbing over me. Staying home and looking online can be convenient, but without looking through a book it is hard to tell if we'll actually like it when it arrives.. In either situation it is always nice to have a fellow parent who can tell you what books they have enjoyed reading time and time again.

Because of all this, I am so excited to tell you about this fabulous website, The Gifted Grasshopper, that has done all the work for you! The Gifted Grasshopper, was created by two teachers turned moms who sensed the frustrations of a mom like me! They create gift bags bursting with their favorite hand-picked books that are age appropriate for your child. They package up your books in a darling canvas tote embroidered with their logo and other trimmings such as special grasshopper reading glasses, their signature Gifted Grasshopper puppet and a bookmark with tips for parents on reading to your child. Fabulous you say? Well it gets better!

*** They are offering tutus & turtles readers one of their charming gift sets!!***

The Gifted Grasshopper also offers reviews on all the latest and greatest children's books on their blog. Don't forget to check out all they have to offer! This service is great for you personally, and also a great gift idea! So many of us feel like our kids have too many toys, but who doesn't appreciate another book to read, especially when it is packaged so fantastically. The Gifted Grasshopper is a great website to pass on to Grandparents . . .

Check out these cute Party Tote gift bags, starting at &7.99. This is the perfect replacement to the standard goody bag at parties!

*To enter this giveaway, leave a comment beneath this post telling us one of your child's favorite stories or books. If you're at a loss (and haven't visited The Gifted Grasshopper for some help) tell us which age group your gift bag would be in.

*Please leave your name with the comment, we will get contact information after you win.
*Comments without a name will be ignored.

*Giveaway will be open for comments until noon PST on Wednesday, February 27th.
*One entry per person, please.
*Winner will be picked at random and announced Wednesday afternoon.

What a great idea these Mom's have had. I love giving books for presents every chance I get. I'll have to visit them for sure. Currently, we love "Pirate's Don't change Diapers!" by Melinda Long. I have a 5, 2, and an 11 month old who turns 1 tomorrow. We also love Mo Willems. We love to use our internet to request books from the library and then if we really like it we'll make the trip to the bookstore. We'd love to have some that have already gone through that process.

My 21 month old absolutely loves books. If she finds one, she holds it up and yells until she gets our attention and we come over and read it to her. Then she'll make us read it 3 or 4 times. Hr daddy reads to her every night and she loves it. Her favorite books right now is "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" and "Baby Wants the Moon".

Our librarian recommended the book "Only You" by Robin Cruise during Valentine's week, and it is the most adorable book. My little girl just loves it. The first time I read it to her I had tears in my eyes, because it has such sweet words. The pictures are bright and colorful and are perfect for little kiddies.

My four year old LOVES books; if we go to a toy store, she will find a book and sit and look at it. My two year old is another story...I avoid all public places with him and that means book stores and the library. This is a great idea!

What a fabulous idea. I don't really read too often (especially since my baby is still in my belly) and this would be a great way for anyone to jump start the reading time with the kiddos.

My daughter just turned one and books are her FAVORITE! She will pull out any book during the day just to flip through the pages. She loves Sandra Boynton (probably because of the silly voices her dad makes while reading them) and Eric Carle. We would love to win this giveaway!

Books make great presents! My 2 year old daughter is always begging for us to get her books down to read! She loves any book with animals in them, and always makes the sounds of all the animals. This is the only way we can get her to sit still in church, is having books to read, although it's not the best way to keep her quiet because she'll be making animals sounds while looking at them!
