Bright Baby Board Books

Priddy Book's Bright Baby Board Books are a great read for a younger child. One of my favorite things is that there is only one picture per page, making it much simpler and easier to focus for a baby. This also narrows your focus and discussion as your child gets older. The size is also really nice. The book is small enough for little hands, but not the palm size, too-tiny-to-read size. There are four different topics in this series: Colors, First Words, Trucks, and Animals.
